Mr. Sassler has a long history developing acoustic intercept systems for submarines and UUVs. He had lead roles on the US Navy's WLY-1 system developed for the Virginia Class Submarines prior to becoming the lead systems engineer on AIS sonars for Sweden's Gotland Class submarines and the Netherland's Walrus Class submarines. More recently, Mr. Sassler developed a Blade Sensor based AIS optimized for UUVs. Prior to joining Extreme Sonar, Mr. Sassler was Sonar Project Manager at Scientific Atlanta's Government Product Division in San Diego, CA, and Director of Engineering at Advanced Acoustic Concepts, in Hauppauge, NY.
