Bernd Weis has a background as marine engineering officer on DEU frigates. He earned a degree as Diplom-Ingenieur (equivalent MSc) in electrical engineering. Experience in the field of planning and procurement on various posts mainly in the MoD led to the current responsibility for the DEU NOR Naval Defence Material Cooperation in the field of international armaments cooperation efforts.
