Iain Shepherd has worked in the maritime sector for some 50 years and is a former Royal Navy Officer & Trial Director at AUTEC. Since leaving the service, he has worked in Shipbuilding, Equipment Manufacture and Ocean Sciences. He is a UK member of ISO/TC43/SC3 and ISO/IEC JWG 32 and has worked on the core group writing ISO17208-3 and on the working groups of 17208-1 and 7605 and is working on minimising the impact of UW Comms on Marine Fauna. He has worked on a number of marine Horizon Projects and worked closely with the EC on "Dual Use” Strategies.
