Stian Hartman, originally from a town just outside Oslo, completed his Master's in Physics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim before earning his PhD in theoretical astrophysics from the University of Oslo in 2022. Following his doctoral studies, he joined the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), where his research has since centered on active sonar in anti-submarine warfare.
