  • Integration of MBSE with the FASTER Programme: The paper will demonstrate how AEUK's MBSE approach, based on the Weilkiens' SYSMOD methodology, aligns with the FASTER programme's Unified Architectural Framework (UAF) to facilitate rapid technology insertion and integration into future submarine combat systems.
  • Addressing Critical Challenges in Model-Based Systems Engineering: Key MBSE challenges such as model governance, configuration control, collaborative model sharing while protecting intellectual property, and ensuring compatibility across different modelling approaches within a complex supply chain will be discussed and addressed.
  • Enhancing Submarine Combat System Development: The structured and repeatable MBSE approach enables AEUK to contribute effectively to the FASTER programme, supporting the Submarine Delivery Agency's (SDA) objectives of accelerating technology development, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the operational effectiveness and adaptability of the UK's submarine fleet.
