Alan supports global programs for developing and implementing new technology in Subsea Robotics and Autonomous Systems in his role as Product Manager with Oceaneering International.

Starting his career as a Trainee ROV Pilot Technician after gaining a Batchelors Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Robert Gordons University in 1998, Alan has over 25 years’ experience in Subsea Robotics Design, Construction and Operations.

After 8 years offshore in ROV Operations working for various service providers, Alan, transitioned onshore in the mid 2000’s first as an operations support engineer and progressing over the next 17 years through roles including:- Regional Technical Manager, Global Support Manager and ROV & Tooling Systems Product Owner and Product Manager.

Alan joined Oceaneering’s Subsea Robotics Division in early 2021.
