Our UDT 2026 Conference Award Winners

The Best Paper Award

This award has been awarded to Ms Nisa Anderson, Systems engineer, Saab AB who wrote and presented the Technical Paper titled 'Summarise and Identify Large Imagery Dataset using Latent Representation'.

The judging panel found this paper to be highly technical and to truly exemplify the UDT Conference theme.

Best Paper winner

I am truly honoured and grateful to receive this award. It serves as a great source of inspiration and motivation to continue producing meticulous work, identifying industry needs and translating existing academic solutions into practical applications. As a systems engineer, it is easy to become narrowly focused on one's immediate area of a system. The UDT conference broadens that perspective, offering a forum to engage with challenges and innovations at an international level, while also having the opportunity to share one's own work with a global community.

Newcomer of the Year 2026

This has been awarded to Dr Ing- Simon Britten, Senior Technology Manager, Laserline GmbH who was a new speaker to the UDT Conference and brought fresh perspective to the conference and this innovation has the potential to shape the future of the domain.
